Joan Maxwell

Chief Financial Officer

A San Francisco native, Joan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis and then went on to earn her MBA from San Francisco State University. After working for KPMG Peat Marwick in San Francisco, she obtained her CPA and finally moved to live the good life (and enjoy the warm weather) in Sonoma County in 1990.

As CFO for Paul Hobbs Wines, Joan oversees all financial matters, and works closely with Paul and senior managers in all areas of strategic and operational management. Joan is an active volunteer and currently holds the position of Treasurer for the Analy High School Education Foundation. Joan enjoys hiking, kayaking and reading and loves to travel and go camping with her family and friends. She and her husband Randy, a programmer for a winery software company, live in west Santa Rosa with their daughter Michelle, who will enter college this fall.
