After making 11 vintages of Paul Hobbs wines at a shared facility, we were thrilled to finally realize the long time dream of establishing our winery home and first-ever estate vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Named in honor of Paul’s great grandmother, the Lindsay Vineyard consists of fourteen acres planted entirely to pinot noir.
Site
Contoured with varied exposure, predominatly southern
Soil
Sebastopol series of Gold Ridge soil. Sandy loam topsoil, underlain by sandy loam. Reddish tinge from iron content
Climate
Perfectly poised in the Laguna Ridge, our estate receives both the gentle marine influences coming in from the coast, and the warm sun enjoyed in this pocket of the Russian River Valley. This combination of elements creates a temperature differential ideal for the growth of pinot noir.
