Cabernet Sauvignon

Hyde Vineyard,
Carneros, Napa Valley

Dark, rich, and amazingly complex, this is a powerful wine with ripe, polished tannins of immense mouth-filling proportion. The remarkable evolution in the glass is typical of Hyde. Wonderfully integrated with layers of red and black fruits, chocolate, and sweet spices followed by loads of vanilla, all carry through the very long finish. This wine will offer lots of drinking pleasure into the next century.

Growing Season An outstanding vintage. Plentiful winter rains opened a particularly fine season. Unusually moderate and uniform climatic conditions prevailed throughout the growing season. Vineyards were exceptionally well-balanced. A long and even maturation period, coupled with occasional morning fog, combined to produce fruit of stunning concentration.
