Pinot Noir

Katherine Lindsay Estate
Russian River Valley

Deep ruby in color, our Katherine Lindsay Estate Pinot Noir is perfumed with clove, Bing cherry and clean earth. The palate is firmly structured, opening with perfectly ripened raspberry and blackberry that yield to luscious dark chocolate and vanilla bean. Notes of thyme and bergamot tantalize the mid-palate. Firm yet velvety tannins and a touch of clove linger over a lengthy finish.

91 Points Wine Spectator

“A subtle style that builds depth and complexity, with full-bodied blueberry and wild berry, attractive floral scents, spice and tea notes. This is most intriguing on the finish, where the flavors are more detailed. Drink now through 2022. ”

“Once again impeccable.  Silky, suave tannins buffer layers of expressive dark red fruit.  Today the 2010 Lindsay comes across as a bit inward, but there is no denying the wine’s elegant, polished personality.  Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.”

Harvest Date October 3 to 4

Growing Season 2010 began with a wet winter and spring across Sonoma County. Summer was cool, though as harvest approached temperatures rose. Our pinot noir and chardonnay ripened fully and evenly, allowing sugars and acid to develop in balance. The wines from 2010 are bright, expressive and elegant.
