Ulises Valdez Vineyard
Russian River Valley

The Ulises Valdez Vineyard is known to produce rich and complex wines. Iridescent pale straw in color, this wine entices with aromas of white tea, lime meringue, and crème brûlée. The creamy palate boasts rich flavors of orange marmalade and with a hint of baking spice leading to a long, refined, mineral driven finish.

(95-97) Points Wine Advocate

“The 2013 Chardonnay Ulises Valdez Vineyard possesses fabulous fruit concentration. Notes of quince, honeysuckle, wet steel, pineapple and mango emerge from this full-bodied, dense effort with great acidity.”
Robert Parker Jr.

(91-93) Points Vinous

“The 2013 Chardonnay Ulises Valdez Vineyard is, as always, one of the most explosive wines in the range. Brioche, lemon curd, mint and apricot pit hit the palate as this rich, powerful Chardonnay shows off its exuberant, racy personality.”
Antonio Galloni

Harvest Date September 8th

Growing Season 2013 was a phenomenal growing season in just about every way. A warm, dry spring led to early bud break, limited canopy vigor and berry size, and created ideal conditions through bloom and fruit set. An abundance of long sunny days, with only one heat spike in early July, resulted in even ripening and an early harvest with exceptional flavor development. The 2013 vintage offers very high quality wines that are striking in their balance and expression.
