Light gold-hued, medium to full-bodied, it spends 15 months in barrel, of which 80% is new. Its big, sweet perfume of roasted hazelnuts, tropical fruit, and orange rind is accompanied by gorgeous acidity as well as blockbuster intensity. With terrific upside potential, it should drink well for 5-7 years.

Hazy gold. Smoky citrus and peach flavors are complicated by hints of tarragon and baking spices. Lush, open-knit pit fruit flavors have a seductive, succulent herbal accent, with gentle acidity providing lift on the finish. Very, very suave, but also offers formidable concentration and persistence. This is from the first leaf of this vineyard.

Smooth, rich and elegant, with a creamy texture that lets the ripe pear, tangerine and hazelnut flavors weave together. Ends with a long, persistent finish and a hint of smokiness. Drink now though 2011.
