Kick Ranch Vineyard
Kick Ranch Vineyard

Located in Rincon Valley, Kick Ranch is the source of our first vineyard designate syrah. Historical documents show that this terroir began producing grapes in the 1870’s. Abandoned since prohibition and used as a Clydesdale horse training ground for many years, Dick & Kathy Keenan acquired the property in 2000 and converted it to a vineyard.
Site Southern orientation, topography varied from flat to gentle slope.
Soil Pleasanton-Haire soil series, with a cobbles and  volcanic rock
Climate Kick Ranch vineyard is located in the “Coastal Cool” climate of Sonoma County, at the western foot of Spring Mountain. The vineyard receives plenty of sun but is cooled by fog and breezes that come in from the Pacific through the Petaluma Wind Gap.
Clone Hermitage
Planted Since 2001
