More backward, with high tannin levels, the black/purple-colored 2002 Pinot Noir Cuvee Agustina boasts formidable levels of extract as well as ripe, concentrated fruit. Thick, juicy, and heady, it reveals notes of black fruits, smoke, minerals, violets, and toasty oak. Give it 4-6 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 12-15 years.

Dark-hued, with intense, rich aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and black cherry, all woven together in a complex package. Firm but polished tannis keep it rich and mouth coating and, given its depth and concentration, it should reward short-term cellaring. Best through 2005-2010
