The dark ruby/purple-colored 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard (540 cases) is a firmer-structured effort with blue and black fruit notes, medium body, sweet tannin, and a moderately long finish. It is an excellent offering from a vineyard on Pritchard Hill in eastern Napa.

A rich, loamy, earthy streak runs though this currant-, herb- and olive- laced wine that's dense and concentrated, finishing with a strong earth and coffee ground finish. Some may find it too earthy and lacking in vibrant fruit.
